Like servals, hissing comprises a lot of how they communicate, which can sound threatening, yet caracals are similarly or perhaps more well-mannered than servals. This means that they have a somewhat traditional cat-like attitude, and play and interact with their owners on their terms only.

Caracal kitten are a type of lynx that much resemble servals when it comes to personality.

When fully grown, caracals reach a height of 16-17 inches at the shoulder and weigh 30-50 pounds. They are known as the ‘desert lynx’ and are found in parts of Africa and Asia.

Caracal “big cats” are native to the dry Savannah and woodlands of Central, Southern, and West Africa.
Caracals inhabit evergreen and mountain forest environments.
Thus you will never find them in tropical rain forests because they prefer scrubby and arid habitats.

Caracal are very agile and can jump up to 3 meters in the air to catch guinea-fowl and pigeons.
Caracal kittens are often referred to as desert lynx, but do not actually share many physical attributes with the family.
The black tuft of hair on its ears is actually one of the only common traits with the lynx family.
Caracals for sale do not have markings contrary to the Lynx.
Caracals are the largest Africa’s small cats, males weighing as much as 40 pounds and females as much as 35.
They are as tall as 20 inches and 39 inches long.
